
If you have purchased the downloadable LucisArt 3 software you must back up your software (instructions included in the installation instructions below).
DOWNLOADABLE SOFTWARE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Windows
1. Download the Win_LucisArt_3_ED.zip file (for LucisArt 3 ED orders) or the Win_LucisArt_3_EDSE.zip file (for LucisArt 3 ED/SE orders) from the link on the top right of the last page of checkout. Save it to the desktop or another convenient folder.
2. Double click on the .zip file to open WinZip or equivalent .zip extracting software. There are two setup files, one setupWin32.exe for 32-bit Windows computers one setupWin64 for 64-bit Windows computers. Select both of these setup files and choose Extract. The Extract UI opens. Navigate to where you would like these two Setup files to be saved. Select Extract. Close the Window.
3. Once extracted, navigate to the setupWin32.exe or setupWin64.exe file as appropriate and double click it to start the installation. LucisArt 3 must match the version of Photoshop. Photoshop CS3 is always 32-bit software. Photoshop CS4 and CS5 may be installed as 32-bit and/or 64-bit software on a 64-bit Windows XP or Windows 7 computer. LucisArt 3 may be installed into several versions of Photoshop. Run setupWin32.exe and install LucisArt 3 into 32-bit versions of Photoshop and then run setupWin64.exe to install LucisArt 3 into 64-bit versions of Photoshop.
4. If you are installing on Windows Vista or Windows 7, the User Access Control screen will open. Select “Allow” in the user authentication dialog to continue. If installing on XP, skip this step.
5. The LucisArt 3 install screen is displayed. Select "Yes" to install LucisArt 3 software.
6. The Welcome screen will be displayed. Click the Next button.
7. The End User License Agreement screen will be displayed.
8. Read the End User License Agreement carefully. Indicate your acceptance of the End User License Agreement by checking the “I accept the terms….” check box and then click the Next button. If you do not accept the terms of the End User License Agreement, do not install the LucisArt 3 ED / SE Demo software.
9. Enter your name, the name of your organization (if applicable), and the serial number in the appropriate fields
10. The Choose Host Applications screen will be displayed. Select each application in which you would like to use the LucisArt software and click the Add button. If your application is not displayed in the list, select the “Other…” option. Click the Next button.
11. If you selected the “Other…” option on the previous screen the Destination Folder screen will be displayed. Select the Change button and navigate to the path of your application’s plug-ins folder and click the Next button. For Photoshop CS-CS5 you would navigate to the filters folder which is under the plug-ins folder in Photoshop.
12. The Ready to Install page will be displayed. Click the Install button.
13. Once installation is complete, the Installation Finished screen will be displayed.
14. Click the Finish button. Your LucisArt 3 software is ready to use. If you ordered LucisArt 3 ED/SE then both LucisArt 3 ED and LucisArt 3 SE will be installed.
15. You are required to back up your LucisArt 3 software. Copy the both the setupWin32.exe and setupWin64.exe files to a CD or DVD, label the CD or DVD LucisArt 3 ED or LucisArt 3 ED/SE as appropriate, and add a printed copy of the e-mail with your serial number and a printed copy of this web page to the jewel case so your downloadable software is backed up in case you need to reinstall your LucisArt 3 software.
